The Urban Athletic Club training staff is a collaboration of personal trainers, group exercise coaches, and movement specialists who believe in improving human movement while keeping fitness fun and exciting. We challenge you to push hard and play harder, get stronger and run faster, and improve your mobility and recovery.
You got to move it, move it!
Essential Human Movement
Our training focuses on perfecting natural movements like pushing, pulling, squatting, and locomotion, movements that will lead to both improved performance and aesthetics. We don't train with gimmicky exercises or equipment (no Shake Weight here, sorry!). Our trainers know that when you improve your movement patterns, the muscles will naturally get stronger and your body will look and feel more athletic.
Athletic and Functional Training
Function better, improve your athletic ability, get better at sports and life. For the athlete it's speed and power; for a mom of two toddlers it's core strength and mobility; for the senior it's posture and strength. We also believe that athletic-styled training is a lot more fun (and a lot more beneficial) than countless hours on an elliptical.
We want you to train here, but we also want you to be able to workout on your own. Much of our training is providing the science behind the sweat. Not only do we help you perfect the proper form, but we explain sets, reps, and terminology like AMRAP, EMOM, and HIIT. Soon, you'll be an acronym-dropping, five by five, deadlifting machine!
