Athlete Testing and Fall Season Starts 9/21 + Win Tix to Landmark Festival!

Urban Athletes:

Starting Monday, September 21 and lasting the entire week, Urban Athletic Club will be conducting athletic performance testing during the First Half of all Urban Athlete classes.

The workouts and exercises are all movements you’ve done before, we’re simply marking your scores (and putting them into your permanent record!).  

We’re testing to provide you with information to help you become a better athlete, show you areas where you can make improvements, and help us - as coaches - program workouts that will continually challenge you.  

The test coincides with the start of Fall and we’ll re-test again at the end of the season (mid-December).

Details

  • Each location will have two sets of tests (schedule is listed below)
  • All tests in each section last two minutes and be part of the workout
  • All participants who participate in BOTH season-opening and season-ending tests will receive a free Urban Athletic Club tee shirt

Scoring and Standards 

Georgetown | Test #1

Pushup to Sprint
Pushups are either from Knees or Feet (mark on scorecard). Chest must touch ground.
Sprints - hand must touch ground at or past cone.

Max Body Rows
Feet must be directly below anchor point. Handles are at fixed height (clip to top).

Thrusters
Full squat (hip crease below knees) to full lock-out above head.

Georgetown | Test #2

Burpees
Chest must touch ground. Clap overhead when jumping.

Chin-ups
Chin must reach over bar and athlete must have full arm extension on the way down.

Squats
Full squat (hip crease below knees) to full lock-out above head.

Glover Park | Test #1

Row
Setting at #6

Max Body Rows
Feet must be directly below anchor point. Handles are at fixed height (clip to top).

Thrusters
Full squat (hip crease below knees) to full lock-out above head.

Glover Park | Test #2

Wall ball
Full squat (hip crease below knees) to full ball above monument

Pushup
